Kindness at Newport-Mesa Unified School District #Kindness1Billion
Posted 10/9/19

Newport-Mesa Unified School District believes that a sense of community is created when we are kind to one another. We believe that leading by example and incorporating acts of kindness into everyday life will have long-lasting ripple effects on our students, staff, and the greater community.

Kindness is not just something we teach at the District – it’s an integral part of our values.  This year we ask each of you to also prioritize kindness. There is a lot of good in the world that goes unnoticed and we know that within our own community we can do many great things to model for our students how to simply be good people.

One simple act of kindness can change someone's entire day. Please watch this five-minute kindness video on what our school community had to say about kindness.

We now challenge each of you to join our district by simply posting your acts of kindness on social media using #Kindness1Billion in support of the Orange County Department of Education’s One Billion Acts of Kindness initiative. If you post on Facebook or Twitter, please tag us @nmusd.

Stay tuned for more special stories of everyday kindness throughout our district!
