School Site Council (SSC)
Purpose of School Site Council (SSC)
The School Site Council plays an important role for each school site. It is a decision-making body that represents all educational partners of the school community. The school principal, teachers, staff members, parents, and/or community members make up this group.
The School Site Council will:
- Develop, evaluate, and approve the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), including the proposed expenditures of funds, Needs Assessment, and Annual Evaluation.
- Involve parents in planning, review, and improvement of school Parent/Family Engagement.

Review and approve the Comprehensive School Safety Plan.

Review and approve the Home-School Compact.

Provide input on the Local Control Accountability Plan.
