Principal's Message

Welcome to College Park Elementary School. We are a student-centered school with a focus on helping students reach their academic potential, develop socially and emotionally, become life-long learners, and be prepared for the rest of their educational career. Our incredibly talented staff work together to make College Park Elementary School a special place wherein we strive to meet the needs of our children. We are committed to offering our students a safe and secure environment with rich learning experiences. This means we do whatever it takes to ensure that our students learn at high levels. We know that not all students learn the same way or at the same rate so we give students multiple opportunities to succeed. We provide daily enrichment and/or extra support in math and language arts via our learning rotations.

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS):

Our highly qualified teachers work together to provide a caring, supportive learning environment. We teach, reward, and support academic and social behaviors via our PBIS model. Students are taught the tools they need to be successful, life-long learners. Expectations for social and academic behaviors are: identified, explicitly taught and positively reinforced by all of our staff.  Students are expected to model Cougar Pride Character: Trustworthy, Respectful, Responsible, Fair, Caring and Good Citizens.

No Excuses University – Turn Around Schools:

We are a partner with the No Excuses University system. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to be educated in a way that prepares them for college. When College Park Elementary School exhibits a culture of universal achievement by believing in students, we collaborate around that belief. During collaboration, we align the state standards and curriculum as a team. As teams align standards, we assess the standards and manage the data. Then, and only then, can we pursue meaningful interventions and enrichments with our students.
